Several tripartite meetings between the Inclusive Development Programme/UN-Habitat, Municipality of Skenderaj and the Company mandated by the latter were held during the last couple of months with the aim of zoning the urban area and drafting its transportation/ public infrastructure as part of producing the Municipal Zoning Map. Furthermore, initial zoning ideas are provided for selected rural settlements.

The analysis, preliminary zoning and draft infrastructure as a current product are directly based on the data collected and digitized previously by the partners of the Programme. The product was also presented, discussed and got ‘green-lighted’ in separate meetings held with the Municipal Planning Team and the Steering Group during which the Mayor provided important comments and direct inputs.

The partners are now looking forward to starting with the public consultation early December.
