The development of the CIP derived from flood reduction analysis carried by MuSPP, Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac and the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) and it is in line with approved Urban Development Plan. The CIP in Ferizaj/Urosevac is a product of collaboration between MuSPP’s professional staff and Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac. The project was developed in a participatory manner which involved different groups of citizens. The ultimate aim of this capital investment project is to reduce flooding in identified spot area by regulation of Nerodime riverbed for the length of 300 m, whilst improving its accessibility, providing a pedestrian friendly and green environment. The total cost for this project is USD 209,192 and is equally covered by the MuSP Programme funded by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (Sida) and Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac.
