UN-Habitat Kosovo signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Environment and Spatial Planning Committee of the Assembly of Kosovo. The MoU provides a framework for stronger policy action within which UN-Habitat and the Parliamentary Committee will jointly collaborate on the development of sustainable urban development, spatial planning, housing, mobility and local climate action policies and legislation to meet the Sustainable Development Goals and New Urban Agenda.

Mr. Omar Siddique, Head of Office and Chief Technical Adviser of UN-Habitat Kosovo, said that “we need a green urban transition where policies and legislation enable a healthy relationship between human activity and nature for people. Kosovo is accelerating action toward this sustainable future”.
