The programme Fostering Inclusive Development in northern Kosovo (Inclusive Development Programme), aims to facilitate alignment of northern Kosovo municipalities with the Kosovo-wide planning framework, strengthen the social contract through civil society mobilization and public dialogue, and foster integration by nurturing local-central and inter-municipal dialogue and cooperation, including through practical infrastructure and service delivery improvements. Emphasis is being put on consolidating governance and planning structures, and advancing minority rights and long-term stability.
Through the partnership with PAX and Community Building Mitrovica, empowering and bringing in the civil society and communities, incl. through grant schemes, contribute to develop more responsive solutions, policies and plans.
The project has been developed at the request of the Kosovo Government and is financed by the Swedish Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). It’s being jointly implemented by UN-Habitat, PAX and Community Building Mitrovica (CBM), and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP), the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), as well as concerned local authorities in Leposavic/Leposaviq, Mitrovica South, Mitrovica North, Zubin Potok, Zvecan, Skenderaj/Srbica and Vushtrri/Vucitrn.
