Today representatives of the Municipality of Mitrovica North hosted a delegation from the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo, together with their counterparts from the Municipal Planning Team of the Municipality of Mitrovica South, representatives from UN-Habitat and Community Building Mitrovica. In the meeting were presented and discussed the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of both Municipalities, and respective development of spatial data base and Municipal Development Plans.

Drafting Citizen Participation Plans and its contribution to these planning processes was also extensively discussed in relation to state-citizen dialogue, and government transparency, responsiveness and accountability. These topics were deepened through a dedicated conversation with representatives of the Mitrovica Regional Monitoring Team and some grantees from the Civil Society Catalytic Fund.

The Inclusive Development Programme thanks the representatives from Mitrovica North and Mitrovica South Municipalities, and civil society organizations from the Mitrovica region for sharing with Sida their feedback and contributions to the Programme’s implementation, and for their hard work and commitment!
