Pristina Urban Garden at Skanderbeg Square

21/04/2021

As part of the UN-Habitat’s marking of Kosovo Earth Days in partnership with UNDP and UNKT, the Pristina Urban Garden instillation was unveiled in Skanderbeg Square – one of the most visited locations in the city. Attending its unveiling were President Osmani, Swedish Ambassador Karin Hernmarck Ahliny, UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo Maria Suokko and UN-Habitat Kosovo Head of Office and Chief Technical Advisor Omar Siddique with those from the general public.

The instillation will be available to visit and interact with until 12th May. UN-Habitat is proud to have been involved in its creation and hopes that, along with other UN-Habitat and partner initiatives, it will continue to raise awareness on the importance of green spaces in cities for climate action and environmental health as we reflect on what it takes to be sustainable during Kosovo Earth Days.
