The Municipal Development Plan for Junik is in the finalization phase. On September 14th a workshop was held with participants of UN-HABITAT's Municipal Spatial Planning Support Programme (MuSPP) team, municipal representatives, civil society organizations and other organizations working with Municipality of Junik such as EULOG and OSCE.

The workshop aimed at prioritization of the projects/actions that derived from the previous thematic workshops and consultation processes with the experts, civil society representatives, ministries, other relevant institutions and stakeholders. During the workshop responsible institutions for each project/action to be undertaken as well as institutions and organizations that can support implementation of the projects, were determined. Timeline and budget implications were also analyzed and discussed. Results of the workshops will be reviewed and analyzed with municipal directors in order to have a political view too.

This work marks completion of the draft MDP and opening of the door to the public review process – a wider public consultation process with citizens, different target groups and stakeholders, as well as institutions.
