Mayor of Hani i Elezit/General Jankovic Mr.Rufki Suma, and the Head of Municipal Spatial Planning Support Programme(MuSPP) Mrs. Krystyna Galezia, exchanged the Agreement of Cooperation for the implementation of the Capital Investment Project(CIP) for regularization of the town centre of Hani i Elezit/General Jankovic. The ceremony was held in the Municipal Hall on 19th October.

The development of this project derived from several thematic workshops and consultation meetings between Municipality, civil society and MuSPP/UN-HABITAT staff. The project is in line with the “in-house” process of drafting Municipal Development Plan of Hani i Elezit/General Jankovic, which is also supported by MuSPP.

Krystyna Galezia, Head of MuSPP said that “it is extremely important to give citizens of Hani i Elezit/ General Jankovic a nice and green city centre, of which the citizens and authorities will be proud”.

Rufki Suma, mayor of Hani I Elezit expressed his gratitude towards UN-HABITAT’s MuSPP for the contribution and support of planning processes in this Municipality.

The total cost for this project is 70 thousand euro and will be equally covered by MuSPP funded by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (Sida) and Municipality of Hani i Elezit/General Jankovic.
