Gender issues in spatial and urban planning processes and development new training for MuSPP Municipalities.
The UN-HABITATs Municipal Spatial Planning Support Programme and Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung, are organizing a Gender Training focused on gender issues in spatial and urban planning processes and development. The opportunity for training is given to the municipal officers, civil society representatives from all MuSPP municipalities. The purpose of the training is to familiarize the participants with the concept of gender, gender relevant methodologies and their applications.
The training aims at giving an opportunity to promote links between local governments, civil society and community through gender mainstreaming. It will also focus on understanding and acknowledging how women and men contribute to and gain from development planning.
The training will be held in Prishtina, in the premises of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Prishtina on the dates 31 of May and 1-2 June, 2011.
