On 17^th October 2012, the Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac supported by the UN-Habitat's Municipal Spatial Planning Support Programme (MusPP), organized an urban design workshop for the Capital Investment Project (CIP) - the Green Corridor. The workshop involved different stakeholders including civil society, Kosovo Police (KP),  municipal officers and citizens from the neighboring area. Ms. Qazime Vata, the director of Urbanism Property Geodesy and Cadastre, in her opening speech, welcomed the participants and reassured them that their opinions would always play the important role in spatial/urban planning developments in Ferizaj/Urosevac and project development.

At the beginning, the representative from Directorate of Urbanism Ferizaj/Urosevac gave presentations on the process of CIP, objective, future stages of the project and importance of citizen's involvement. Consultancy company then followed with a presentation on three scenarios of green corridor project.

After the first session, the participants made a site visit to the project area. After the field visit, the participants were divided in to three working groups, facilitated by MuSPP staff. Each group assessed three scenarios, followed by a plenary presentation of the each work group. As a result of discussion, there have been several comments and remarks.

The common opinions were such as changing the level or remove the road planned in URP, if the artificial lake were created as the lake has to be further away from schools.

The stakeholders are to further discuss on the three scenarios in order to select the best feasible element for actual implementation.
