On 10^th December 2012, the Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac supported by the UN-Habitat's Municipal Spatial Planning Support Programme (MusPP), organized a public presentation on urban design for the Capital Investment Project (CIP). The urban design for the green corridor was presented to citizens and different stakeholders, who have been actively participating in the ongoing process since the initiation phase of the project. During the event, the compiled inclusive contribution of all stakeholders was displayed to the participants.

The project design was positively assessed by those participants.  During the discussions the issue of car parking space inside the school yards was raised. It was assessed that the parking space inside the school yard area would have negative impact on the project; therefore this issue will be subject to further discussions among decision making bodies.

The public presentation offered a good opportunity to encourage public participation as it proved that the ideas and opinions of citizens were taken into consideration in the final draft design. It was clearly a meaningful occasion for all stakeholders and it increased their sense of ownership and responsibility for the project.
