VISIONING AS PARTICIPATORY PLANNING TOOL LEARNING FROM KOSOVO PRACTICES

Abstract: Visioning is a powerful planning tool which brings together different stakeholders for projecting future development. Used in a post-conflict society it holds the potential for bridging ethnic and social conflicts. Sensitivity to specific needs of men and women, girls and boys, the fit and the disabled placed against the background of reconciliation, adds value to a vision of a city, town or a neighborhood.This publication intends to inspire and encourage local planners, politicians, civil society and mass-media to engage in designing the future of human settlements in a collaborative way with the use of visioning.
