UN-Habitat's Municipal Spatial Planning Support together with the Cultural Heritage without Borders are providing support to the Cycling Federation of Kosovo, to organize the 6^th edition of the cycling tour "Tour de Culture". The event is scheduled to take place on September 22, 2013 to mark European Mobility Week and European Heritage Days. Tour de Culture promotes non-motorised transport and cultural heritage while also joining other internationl initiatives where hundreds of cities around the world will host an organized cycling tours for promoting cycling as healthier and better way of transport for the cities and people.

As the planned region for this year's "Tour de Culture" is the South-East of Kosovo, and it would be interesting to run across areas with character of Ferizaj/Urosevac municipality and its neighbouring municipality Kacanik. The Tour has a leisure character, and the distance of the Tour will not exceed 30 km and is therefore relatively easy to cover.  It should be noted that the cultural and natural sites of Ferizaj/Urosevac such as bifurcation, city library, the church and the mosque in the centre of the city would be a good starting point for the cyclists. Last year's event gathered more than 700 participants, and this year we are expecting the same.

The event is also being supported by other national and international organisations such as: Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Council of Europe, and local businesses as well.

We look forward to the high number of participants, due to the activity's popularity gained throughout these years.
